I would like to know crops that will grow in the winter months so there will be food to eat year round. Hoop houses and a cheap way to build them.

I think everybody with the room to do so should have a hoop house. I'll be talking about that and also food storage (the 'eating season' is longer than the 'growing season' here in the Great White North).
