Help us plan our farm workshops for this year . . .
2010 Farm Workshops at New Terra Farm
As part of our mission to grow farmers as well as food, we are planning one on-farm workshop for this season. The workshop will provide some 'hands-on' experience working with either our market garden and greenhouse, or our livestock animals.
The workshops will be a mix of instruction and actual experiential learning, right here on award-winning New Terra Farm. Course material will be provided, and workshop participants will receive a copy of one of my books (depending on the course)
Bootstrap Market Gardening
How to Raise Meat Chickens
(including plans for the New Terra Farm Movable Coop) or my new book (soon to be released) Raising Pastured Pigs.
Help me choose which course to present in 2010
Here's the deal: I'm going to be REALLY BUSY this year, what with adding bedding plants and honey bees to our product mix, and as we move to more sustainable growing methods (yes, after 10 years we are still learning.)
But, I don't want to give up on the opportunity to help some 'newbie' farmers get started.
SO, I will prepare and deliver just one of the workshops shown on the form below. And I would like you to help me decide which one.
Here's the bribe: Just select one workshop topic from the form below, and click 'Choose!' As a reward, everybody who submits a choice will be offered a substantial discount worth AT LEAST $50 on the workshop.
This page will be open for only a short while; a soon as I have enough responses to decide which workshop I will deliver, this page will be taken down. So if you would like the opportunity to attend one of our farm workshops and save some money, respond right away.
NOTE: please fill in a valid e-mail address as this is the only way I can notify you of the workshop and give you your discount.
When and Where: The workshop will take place in June (exact date depends on which workshop in selected) at our farm near Merrickville, Ontario.
